We will be closing our physical clinic in Surry Hills for seven weeks due to important works being carried out on the building. All appointments during the closure will be held via Telehealth.
We know this will be inconvenient for many of you who prefer to see your therapist face-to-face. We will be doing everything we can to support you during this time and minimise any disruption to your care.
This guide explains what’s happening, how your appointments will be managed, and the different ways you can get help or support while the clinic is closed.
Closure overview
What is happening?
The Feel Good Clinic’s physical space at 59 Buckingham Street, Surry Hills will be closed for seven weeks while the building undergoes essential upgrades.
These works will include installing an elevator and improving the entry to make the building accessible for all clients.
When is this happening?
The clinic will close after our last appointments on Saturday, 23 August 2025 and will re-open on Monday, 13 October 2025.
Note: There will be no access to the clinic or the building during the closure.
Appointment management
How will this impact my appointment(s)?
All appointments scheduled during the closure will move to Telehealth.
This means you can continue to see your therapist via secure Zoom video or phone call, at the same time and day as your existing booking (unless you choose to reschedule).
You’ll receive the same care and level of service you expect from us—we remain fully committed to your health and wellbeing during this period.
How will this be managed?
All appointments that you have previously scheduled during the closure will be automatically moved to Telehealth. When booking new appointments during this period, you will only be able to book Telehealth sessions.
You will be able to reschedule and/or cancel your Telehealth sessions as normal, and you will be able to contact our client services team for any support you may need via phone, email, text, or chat.
If you have never had a Telehealth session before, you will be emailed in advance the links and information you need to be able to seamlessly join your online session.
FAQs
Will the clinic be re-opening?
Yes! The clinic will re-open on Monday, 13 October 2025. You can currently book face-to-face sessions from this date onwards.
Can I continue to see my therapist during the closure?
Yes. All therapists will be moving online to continue to support your therapeutic care. You will be able to see the same therapist, on the same day and time(s) that work for you. The only difference will be that the session will take place online.
Will my appointment length or session rate/rebate change?
No. Your session length and fees (as well as Medicare rebates) remain the same as for in-person sessions with your therapist.
What if I have never used Telehealth before?
No worries! We’ll guide you through setup and send you a one-click Zoom link. In addition, our Client Services team is on hand for any support you may need.
Is Telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes. Real-time remote sessions maintain the same quality of care. Many clients find them just as helpful, especially when face-to-face isn’t possible.
What if my internet connection is poor?
If video doesn’t work due to technical issues, we can switch to a phone call (over cellular networks) to keep your session running smoothly.
If you have a poor internet connection and poor cellular reception, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
Is my privacy protected during Telehealth sessions?
Absolutely. We use secure platforms and comply with professional standards (including AHPRA’s Telehealth guidelines) to safeguard confidentiality during your session(s) from our end.
What if I need urgent support or am in crisis?
If you need immediate help, call 000, head to your nearest hospital, or contact Lifeline (on 13 11 14).
Will I still be able to get handouts or worksheets from my sessions?
Yes. We will email you any materials from your session.
I am not comfortable with Telehealth—what are my options?
We understand that some clients strongly prefer face-to-face sessions, or do not have a safe space to join Telehealth sessions. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any alternative options for you during the closure period. You are, however, welcome to book in-person sessions from 13th October 2025 to resume care.
We apologise for the impact this closure will cause some clients.
